MUXE wants to remind everyone to be careful when using Telegram or any other software or app, many of them are currently full of phishers hoping to steal your keys/funds or identity details. Make sure that you do not fall for these common practices and that you never share such details with anyone.
How does phishing works?
Let’s suppose that you are opening your e-mail address and that you find a message from your bank or cryptocurrency exchange. You’ve received an e-mail from them before, but this one seems very suspicious, especially since it threatens to close your account if you don’t reply immediately. What do you think you should do?
These kinds of messages are called phishing, a method of online identity theft. In addition to stealing personal and financial data, phishers can infect computers with viruses and convince people to participate unwittingly in money laundering or many other similar examples.

How to Protect Yourself From Scammers on Telegram
When you are chatting with Telegram users, you may encounter scammers claiming to be real support or a famous person all over the place. Especially in the crypto sphere, there are many fake accounts trying to steal money from investors, project owners or anyone who is easy with trust to fall for these tricks. We can’t stress you enough to be so super careful, over suspicious and completely focused all the time when you are involved with people in the cryptocurrency world.
If you do not want to be taken advantage of by scammers, please remember:
- None of our team members will ever ask you for money or cryptocurrencies. You should never transfer any money to them in case they ask you to. We will never ask you to send your contributions to a wallet address that we provide on Telegram.
- Never give out your personal details, even email addresses on the Telegram chat. Send your queries to info@muxe.io instead. If an admin gets in touch with you via a private message, make sure their username (listed below) is correct before engaging in any discussion.
- If it seems too good to be true, then it most likely is.
